mount snow

Spring Operations:
Mount Snow will be open Friday, April 25 – Sunday, April 27 (closing day).

If you haven’t noticed, it’s been a bit warm lately. And sunny. And just in time for Mount Snow to reopen today, it’s going to cool down just a tad, keeping the snow fresh for closing weekend. We’re looking at temps in the mid 60s today and mid 50s over the weekend, which is pretty perfect for Spring skiing and riding.

So, with only three more days left in the season, what are you going to do? Rake your yard? Come on. Finish out this spectacular season with us. Make some final turns on our mainstay trails that have seen significant snowmaking throughout the season, trails like Canyon, Standard, Chute, Free Fall and Fallen Timbers. Cruise down our 2 ½ mile summit-to-base beginner route, Deer Run and Long John. Have a burger on Cuzzin’s deck. Check out the gear on super-sale in the shops. The yard will wait.

We’ll have 17 trails open today. Three lifts will spin, including the Grand Summit Express, the Challenger Triple on the North Face, and the Launch Pad beginner area. Please keep in mind that in a few spots, some walking may be required.

Spring lift ticket prices for Friday through Sunday are $39 for adults and $29 for young adults, juniors and seniors.

We were the first ski area to open in Vermont, and we’ll be last to close in central/southern Vermont. Yes, the southernmost ski area in Vermont has lasted until April 27, and we owe much of it to our new fleet of fan guns. And stay tuned, cause we'll be installing more this summer. Lots more.

2008/09 Season passes are now on sale. You could put it off, but then you'll probably forget and miss the discounted, first-tier pricing. Don't delay.

Please watch for obstructions both natural and man-made. Ice, thin spots, bare spots and variations on the snow surface can and will exist.

Mount Snow Resort

About the Resort
Mount Snow offers a "back to base" trail system that allows families with skiers and riders of varying ability levels to easily meet up at the end of the day. Our Main Face offers some of the best "cruiser" trails in the Northeast, and two beginner level runs that span 3 miles of terrain. Our North Face is primarily for advanced skiers, featuring great tree-skiing and Ripcord -- one of New England's steepest runs.

Mount Snow begins the 2007-08 ski and snowboard season under the new ownership of Peak Resorts, who have invested over $6 million in mountain operations and facilities for this winter. This include the purchase of 101 energy-efficient snowmaking fan guns, which gives the resort the capability to open earlier with more terrain, and recover more quickly from temperature fluctuations during the season.

Mount Snow remains Vermont's closest big mountain resort for major metropolitan areas including Boston, New York City, the tri-state region, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. It is a four-season destination resort with activities that cater to families and singles, including great cuisine, a full-service spa, special children and family activities, ski school, mountain biking, hiking, childcare and a championship caliber 18-hoe golf course.
